New Civic Hatch. Don’t even know what trim level it is...
Seen at a dealer before they’re officially on sale...

But is it pronounced “Steve?”

Apparently interior room is 122 cubic feet, the last gen Jetta wagon was about 124, so this thing is spacious. I’d be interested in test driving one, and knowing how much hp you can squeeze out safely in a tune.

I can appreciate the rear end with the spoiler transition from the lights but The front has such a goofy underbite. Although it’s less pronounced in some colors than others.
Also, I just headed over to the configuration and there’s about 10 shades of grey, yayyyyy!

Those hideous fake butt vents are as bad as the new Type R’s fake face vents. Yuck.

It looks like the rejected design for the Honda Cross Tour, but I don’t hate it as much.

You mean... butt holes?

I don’t like it as a hatch.
That’s what the sedan should’ve been.
It’s barely a hatch. Its a lift back. Reminds me of the Mazda 6 lift back.
They should have made a rounder hatchback like the focus or Scion iM

Looks like the rear of the Lancer Sportback, but I like the Sportback look way better.

Apparently that’s a very aerodynamic shape, hence why the Insight and Prelude have fastback-type rooflines. The people who designed it probably had to find the optimal angle for the rear hatch based on how air would be flowing over it, depending on how it would interact with the car up front.

I hate those wheels, but I don’t hate the car. I like it better than the sedan, (the sedan looks a little pudgy to me, a bit too wide.) I’d like to try both that new 1.5 turbo and the monster type R with a slick 6pd stick... Mazda could have some serious competition, (maybe making both better.)
